Eskymos Slip Past Flivvers For 2nd Road Win, 3-2
 IRON MOUNTAIN---The Escanaba High School hockey team got goals from three different players and topped the Kingsford Flivvers, 3-2, Tuesday night at Mountain View Arena. All three Eskymo goals were scored in the opening moments of periods. Captain defenseman Calvin Pinar put the Eskymos on the board early in the first period, and then early in the second, Chris LeMire scored for the fifth time in two games to make it 2-0. Kingsford's Jacob Stoner scored an unassisted goal in the second period to cut the lead in half, but senior Dylan Gauthier rebuilt the lead with an early third period goal. Kingsford's Alex Shanks scored late in the game, with Sawyer Perpich assisting, but the Flivvers could not get that tying goal. Kingsford goaltender Joey Berglund made 37 saves to keep his team in the contest. Escanaba outshot Kingsford, 40-8. Nick Aird had two assists for the Eskymos. Brodie Goddard earned the win in net. Escanaba improved to 2-1 on the season, and will have the home opener next Tuesday night against Marquette. Game time from the Hannahville Ice&Turf in Wells is 7:00.
