Marquette Track Takes Great Northern Conference
 ESCANABA---The rain may have slowed things down a bit at the Great Northern Conference track and field meet on Thursday, but it didn't slow down the season-long Marquette High School dominance of the U.P. track scene. Marquette easily won both the boys and girls titles at Escanaba High School. In the boys meet, Marquette had 199 points. Kingsford was second with 152 and Menominee was third with 49. In the girls meet, the Redettes had 179 points. Escanaba finished second with 115 points and Kingsford ended up third with 75.
