Gladstone Girls Fall On Road To Ishpeming, 76-46
ISHPEMING---It was a tough night for the Gladstone High School girls basketball team Thursday as the Braves made the long trek to Ishpeming to face the Hematites. Gladstone, playing shorthanded with two starters out of the line-up, lost, 76-46. The Braves were even more shorthanded in the fourth quarter when Kaitlyn Hardwick and Taylor Hunter both fouled out. Zoey Spauling led the Braves with ten points, while Alyssa Polley added nine. Hunter also had nine points, and Hardwick scored six. Ishpeming was led by Madigan Johns, who scored 19 points. Cora Swanson and Marissa Maino each scored 13 for the Hematites, who improve to 2-0 on the season. Ishpeming also won the junior varsity contest, 61-16. Gladstone travels to Kingsford for a GNC Conference game Tuesday night. |
