Radio Results Network To Broadcast Norse Hoops

The Radio Results Network announced Wednesday that it has secured the rights to broadcast men’s and women’s basketball games for the Bay College Norse when the teams begin their inaugural seasons in November.

The broadcasts will all be produced locally over both on-air and on-line platforms under a threeyear contract agreement between RRN and the college.

Brand new station, Maverick 106.3 will serve as the flagship station for every men’s and women’s Norse basketball game, both home and away.

The games will also be broadcast live on-line at www.rrnsports.com. There will be extensive coverage of Norse Men’s and Women’s Basketball on RRNSports.com after the game is over as well, with recaps of each contest, as well as photos, audio clips, and video highlights.

Jack Hall will serve as the play-by-play Voice of the Norse. Hall is a 1994 Northern Michigan University graduate who has been broadcasting high school and youth sports in Delta County for the past 23 years.

“I am excited to be a part of a brand new program,” Hall said. “I am impressed with the work that’s already been done to get these programs going, and am looking forward to helping to spread the word of Bay College Norse Athletics across the Upper Peninsula…and beyond!”

Hall will continue to broadcast local high school games for the Radio Results Network, and will continue to serve as its Network News Director.

“This is an exciting opportunity to partner with Bay College,” says Jesse Huff, General Manager for Radio Results Network. “We are pleased to expand our local sports coverage and proud to now be the home of Bay College Athletics!

"We have the platforms that include the FM side of the dial with Maverick 106.3 along with the digital platforms that includes our radio station app, online listening and full coverage at RRNSports.com,” he added.

“Bay College is excited about our partnership with RRN. This will allow the UP and Northern Wisconsin to be a part of the Norse, listening to games and outcomes. Go Norse!!” says Dr. Laura Coleman, Bay College President.

“Bay College is incredibly proud to partner with RRN, truly one of the leading names in UP radio broadcasting," Athletic Director Matt Johnson said. "The launch of The Maverick 106.3 will allow the Norse Nation the opportunity to enjoy plenty of Norse sports news and games across the Upper Peninsula and beyond.”
