U.P. High School Football Teams Hold Scrimmages
Michigan high school football teams are allowed to play one exhibition game before the start of the regular season, and many U.P. teams did that on Friday. The weather was cloudy and chilly as the Gladstone Braves faced the Munising Mustangs in Munising, and the Manistique Emeralds played at Bark River-Harris. A three-team scrimmage was held in Norway on Friday, featuring the Kingsford Flivvers, West Iron County Wykons, and Norway Knights. The Escanaba Eskymos played in the rain at Negaunee on Thursday. The regular season begins for U.P. high school football next Thursday night. Photo above courtesy Brenda Crow, Gladstone Braves |
