HOMECOMING WINNER: Eskymos Blast Soo 35-6
ESCANABA---The Escanaba High School football team had a Happy Homecoming on Friday with a 35-6 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Blue Devils. The Eskymos scored four touchdowns on the ground, with Scout Wunder scoring two of them on rushes of 34 and 24 yards. Josh Grassel added a 45-yard touchdown run, and Logan Caroll scored on an eight-yard run. Escanaba's first touchdown came on a ten-yard pass from Craig Kamin to Ryan Robinette. The Eskymos led, 7-0, after the first quarter, and had a 21-0 lead at halftime. Christer Carne made all five of his extra point kicks for the Eskymos, who improve to 4-1 on the season. Sault Ste. Marie fell to 1-4, and the Blue Devils travel back to Delta County next week to face Gladstone. The Eskymos travel to Menominee for a key GNC contest. |
