Marquette Holds Off Negaunee In 'Yooper 10' Final
 ESCANABA---The Marquette Minor Little League All-Stars (age 9-10) won the championship of the Yooper Tournament Monday night, beating Negaunee, 4-3, in Escanaba. It was the first time in the 25-year history of the tournament where two Marquette County teams faced off in the championship game.  That was all the scoring in a well-played game. Marquette had the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth inning but Kyle Moyer was robbed of a base hit and two RBI by Negaunee shortstop Morgan Robar. In the final inning, Negaunee had the bases loaded with two out when Ethan Gauthier hit a chopper that Marquette pitcher Halen McCollum got to. He grabbed the ball, and started running for the first base bag. He got there in time. Game over.
