Bay College Norse Open 2nd Cross Country Season
EAST LANSING---The Bay Norse Cross Country teams opened their season on Friday at Michigan State. Four women would end up scoring for the Norse, while three runners on the Men's side put up official times. The harriers from Bay College faced hot and steamy conditions downstate, adding to the difficulty of running in a huge field of competitors. The Men would end with three runners scoring for them. "Today went well considering the conditions," said Norse Head Cross Country Coach Jim Murtha. "Everyone gave their best effort, but it was very hot and humid by race time. Our times are only going to keep getting better as the season goes on. We are definitely looking forward to our home meet next weekend!" The Quality Inn & Suites Invitational will be the next competition for the Norse on Saturday, September 22nd. The race, hosted by Bay College, will begin at 10 AM. |
