Marquette Wins GNC Girls Title; Eskymos Take 2nd
ESCANABA---She was so far ahead of everybody else that she could have walked to the finish line and still won the race. Marquette High School freshman Lindsey Rudden sprinted to a big lead and cruised past the other 37 girls to win the Great Northern Conference championship Thursday at the Escanaba Country Club. Rudden finished the race in 19 minutes and 16 seconds, a full 47 seconds ahead of second place Kameron Burmeister of Menominee (pictured).
