This story was written by Finlandia SID Mike Bond

HANCOCK---
Caleb Evosevich-Hynes (Iron Mountain, Mich.) has committed to play for the Finlandia University football team.  He is planning on majoring in Business and Sports Management.

Evosevich-Hynes was a running back and linebacker at Iron Mountain High School.  As a senior, he was the West PAC Offensive Player of the Year, All-West PAC Copper Division first team at both positions, All-U.P. Dream Team running back and Division 7-8 All-State running back.

During his junior year, Evosevich-Hynes was the West PAC Special Teams Player of the Year, All-West PAC first team at both positions, All-U.P. Dream Team linebacker and Division 7-8 All-State at linebacker.  During his last two years the Mountaineers were 19-4 and were Division 7 semi-finalists (2019) and Division 8 quarterfinalists (2020).

Joby Sullivan - Finlandia QB's and WR's coach, Offensive & Recruiting Coordinator sayd:

"Caleb comes to Finlandia from the tradition-rich Iron Mountain Mountaineers who have produced many college football players over the years.  Hailing from the same community that has produced champions like Tom Izzo and Steve Mariucci, Caleb brings a championship mentality to our program and will bring his U.P. toughness as a game-changer in our backfield”
