Escanaba Girls 4th; Esky Boys 6th At Dome Meet
MARQUETTE----The Escanaba High School boys track team took sixth place out of eight teams, and the Eskymo girls took fourth out of nine teams at the Division One Track and Field Meet Tuesday at the Superior Dome. The Esky boys had 31 points, far behind meet champion Menominee with 91 points. Marquette was second and Houghton third. In the girls meet, Escanaba had 53.25 points. Marquette won with 84 points. Houghton was second and Menominee was third. Eskymo senior Olivia Nash won the 200 dash and was second in the high jump. Holly Ettenhofer was second in the pole vault, and Aubree Peterson took second in the 400. The Eskymos' 3200 meter relay team finished in third place. Escanaba's Andrew Stenberg finished second and Eric Cousineau third in the 3200 meter run. Jordan Ogren was second in the 1600 run, and Demetrian Macon tied for fourth in the high jump. |
