Guenette Scores 20; Miners Cruise Past Eskymos

ESCANABA---Jordan Guenette scored 20 points and the Negaunee Miners used strong defense to beat the Escanaba Eskymos, 64-42, Tuesday night in Escanaba. Escanaba welcomed back injured big man Javon Stevenson, who played sparingly, and continued to play without fellow big man Cody Noel, who will be out until after the holidays. Stevenson led the Eskymo offense with ten points, while Lenny Peacock and Owen Fields both added eight points. The Miners, who got revenge for a district tournament loss to the Ekymos last spring, got 16 points from Baron Heslip to go along with Guenette's 20 points. ---MORE DETAILS COMING WEDNESDAY---  |
