The Island Resort Championships start with tee times at 7:30 Friday morning, with 2011 Marquette High School graduate Carley Saint-Onge playing in one of the first pairings.

The ladies who will play in this professional golf event were in town all week getting ready for the three-day, 54-hole event.
One of the golfers, Nicole Smith of Riverside, California and the University of Tennessee, says that she is having a blast here in the Upper Peninsula.
Smith especially likes staying with "host families" instead of staying in a hotel.

We will post nightly updates on this tournament throughout the weekend.
Tickets are $10 for all three days of this event, and are available at the course.
