HANCOCK---The 2012-13 Finlandia University women’s softball team, coached by Sean Hendrickson, finished the regular season with an overall win/loss record of 25-6, and took 1st place in the Golden State Athletic Conference softball championship April 27.
The GSAC championship earned the Lions an invitation to the NCAA-III softball regional tournament, which begins on Thursday in Whitewatwer, Wis.
It is Finlandia’s first-ever NCAA tournament invitation in any sport.
The Lions will open tournament play against host UW-Whitewater.
