HEAVYWEIGHT BATTLE: Kingsford Rallies To Beat Menominee, 21-14

The Kingsford High School football team rallied from two touchdowns behind to beat the Menominee Maroons, 21-14, in a battle of unbeaten teams Friday night in Menominee. Dylan Beal threw two touchdown passes to Brody Daigneau to put the Maroons up 14-0, but Blake Tomasoski scored a touchdown and Jake Lockhart ran in two scores, including the game winner, for Kingsford. The loss breaks a 20-game winning streak for the defending state champion Maroons, and it gives the Flivvers the West-Pac Copper Division championship. Kingsford is the only undefeated eleven-man team in the Upper Peninsula.
