MILWAUKEE---The Bay College Norse women's volleyball team lost to non-conference matches in Milwaukee on Saturday, falling to Harper College (Ill.) and Milwaukee Tech by identical 3-1 scores. The losses snapped a long winning streak by the Norse, who had won 15 of their previous 17 matches.
But Bay (15-8 overall) has already clinched a spot in the NJCAA Region 12-B Tournament, which will be held in Grand Rapids Novemebr 5 through 7. Bay has two matches left in the regular season, and needs to win one of them to win the MCCAA North Conference championship for the first time in program history.
Bay will face Kirtland Community College in Graying on Monday, and will have its final home match of the regular season on Wednesday against Alpena. If the Norse wins at least one of those matches, they'll host the MCCAA state championships in Escanaba on Sunday, November 1st.
