  • MTU Women's Basketball Assistant Takes Job In Illinois
    Michigan Tech Assistant Women's Basketball coach Maria Kasza has accepted an offer to join the staff as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Northern Illinois University. Kasza just completed her fifth season as an assistant with the Huskies and was also a member of the team as a player for three seasons. "I'm excited about my new role as an assistant coach at Northern Illinois," Kasza said. "It's a great opportunity at a great school and in a well-known conference like the MAC."
  • Northern Michigan Announces '17 Hall Of Fame Class

    The Northern Michigan University department of athletics announced that Mandee Dafoe, Pauline Hope (Schuette), Abigail Larson, Jay McQuillan, Rick Popp, and the 1979-80 Hockey Team will be inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in 2017. The inductees will be honored during homecoming weekend, which is scheduled for Sept. 21-23, 2017. The formal induction will occur Sept. 22 in the Great Lakes Rooms at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under.
