  • Bark River-Harris Rallies To Beat Kingsford, 7-6
    The Bark River-Harris Broncos rallied from a 5-0 deficit in the final three innings to beat the Kingsford Flivvers, 7-6, Friday in Bark River. Kingsford's Hunter Lindeman threw a no-hitter for four innings before the Broncos rallied for three in the fifth, three in the sixth, and one in the seventh. The winning run scored on a base hit by Jace Briggs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
  • NMU Women's Lacrosse Team Falls In Superior Dome

    The Northern Michigan University lacrosse team dropped a 19-7 decision to Walsh Friday night at the Superior Dome. Graison RingleverBlair Osgood and Shelby Klotz had multi-point outings, but the Cavaliers outscored the Wildcats, 8-2, in the final 20 minutes of the first half to build what proved to be an insurmountable lead.

  • Five NMU Golfers Given All-Conference Honors

    Five Northern Michigan golfers earned all-GLIAC accolades, the league office announced Thursday. Karissa GuthrieHaley HewerMartin EliassonAustin Elsner and Avery Rochester were all named to the honorable mention team for their performance over the course of the 2016-17 campaign. "To have five Wildcats named all-GLIAC is an incredible accomplishment for our program," said interim head coach Bob Bastian. "They have worked so hard for this and represent Northern Michigan and the GLIAC with integrity."

  • Eichhorn, Berry Take Top Spots At Norway Invite
    Carney-Nadeau's Hunter Eichhorn was the medalist at the Norway Invitational on Tuesday, shooting a 72. Manistique's Louis Berry was second with a 77. Calumet won the team title with 344 strokes. Negaunee was second (346), and Carney-Nadeau (352) took third overall.
