Michigan State Leads After 2nd Round At Sage Run
The Michigan State Spartans rolled to a 16-stroke lead Sunday heading into the final round of the Island Resort NCAA Men's Golf Championship at the Sage Run Golf Course. Battling high winds and fatigue after 36 holes and nine hours of golf, United States Amateur champion James Piot carded a 138 to take a one-stroke lead over his MSU teammate, Troy Taylor.   • Northern Michigan Men's Soccer Ties Northwood
    The Northern Michigan University men's soccer team (0-3-2, 0-1-1 GLIAC) found themselves in their second two overtime battle of the year in a 1-1 draw at Northwood University in conference action on Sunday. Cuian Tunney beat the opposing player on the right and kicked in the equalizing goal with five minutes left to preserve the tie for the Wildcats. The goal was the first of the year and NMU career for the freshman forward.
  • NMU Women's Soccer Loses To Northwood

    The Northern Michigan University women's soccer team lost to Northwood on Sunday, 3-0, in Midland. Caroline Halonen led the Wildcats with six total shots and three on goal. Six other NMU student-athletes notched shots with Calihan Bearden, Gwen Kiilunen, and Ashley Koch each tallying one shot on goal.
