Houghton Gremlins Win Boys, Girls Golf U.P. Titles
 MARQUETTE--The Houghton Gremlins completed the clean sweep on Wednesday, winning the Division One Upper Peninsula boys and girls Golf championships at Marquette's Heritage Golf Course. The Escanaba Eskymos finished second in the boys meet, and third in the girls meet. Gladstone was fourth in both meets. For the boys, Houghtons's Wyatt Liston was the medalist, firing a 73. Escanaba had three of the next sixth finalists: Nick Aird was third with a 76, Dane Casperson shot a 78 and was fourth, and Dylan Gauthier was tied for seventh with three golfers, carding a 79. Gladstone's Max Strasser and Marquette's Brett Specker also finished with 79's. The boys team scores: Houghton 310, Escanaba 318, Marquette 321, Gladstone 330, Kingsford 335, and Menominee 348. Marquette was second with 423, and Escanaba was third with 333. Gladstone was fourth with 437. Gladstone's Callie Jensen was the U.P. Champion, getting Medalist honors by shooting a 90 over the 18 holes. Marquette's Sydney Higgins was four strokes behind with a 94. The Eskymos' Kelsey Motto was fifth with a 98, and Abbey Strom was 11th with a 105. The girls team scores: Houghton 396, Marquette 423, Escanaba 433, Gladstone 437, Calumet 443, Menominee 466.
