Redmen Score Twice In Third To Beat Flivvers, 5-3
MARQUETTE---The Marquette High School hockey team blew a three-goal lead, but recovered in the third period to beat the Kingsford Flivvers, 5-3, Tuesday night, at Lakeview Arena. The Redmen got two goals 40 seconds apart to earn the victory. Kingsford had a great chance early on when a five-minute major penalty was called against Marquette. But the Flivvers could not muster any offense.

In the second period, Specker scored his second goal of the game to make it 3-0. But the Flivvers weren't done. Luke Wahoviak brought the Flivvers to within 3-2, and then Adam Szabo tied the game with 12 seconds left in the second period. Marquette responded early in the third period as sophomore Spencer DenBeste scored the go-ahead goal. Forty seconds later, Luke Schwemin gave the Redmen an insurance goal. Senior golatender John Beckman earned the win in net for the Redmen, while Joe Berglund was the losing netminder for the Flivvers.
