HARRIS---Tickets are on sale now for the LPGA Symetra Tour event, set for June 26th through the 28th at the Sweetgrass Golf Club in Harris.

Tournament officials say more than 5,000 spectators will attend the three days of event, and they set an attendance record last summer. Tickets cost $10 for the entire three-day, 54-hole tournament. They are being sold by local charities, who get to keep the money.

They include: the Delta County Junior Golf Association, the Gladstone Kiwanis, the VFW Auxiliary 2998, and the North Central Guarantee Scholarship Fund. A number of local high school athletic departments are also selling the tickets, including the Carney-Nadeau, Escanaba, Ishpeming, Kingsford, Stephenson, and Superior Central schools.

The Symetra Tour event has a $125,000 purse, and the chance to win a 2016 LPGA Tour Card. The first round of tournament play starts at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, June 26.
