Norway Knights Win D-4 Baseball, Softball Districts
 NORWAY---It took a few extra days, but the Norway Knights have punched their tickets to the MHSAA Division Four regional tournament. In a tournament delayed by three days due to rainy weather, Norway won the baseball and softball district titles on Monday. In baseball, Norway beat Bark River-Harris, 7-1, and then, after North Central beat Ironwood, 4-3, the Knights won their sixth baseball district title with a 4-2 win over North Central. The Knights scored three runs in the sixth inning to reverse a 2-1 deficit, with Micah Wilson's two-run single breaking the 2-2 tie.  Norway (21-7) will face Rogers City in Saturday's regional semifinal game in Pellston. The other semifinal game pits Rudyard against Alanson. In the softball districts, Norway bounced Bark River-Harris, 20-0, and Ishpeming eliminated Lake Linden-Hubbell, 10-2. In the championship game, the Knights rolled to a mercy-shortened 21-5 victory over Ishpeming. Norway's girls will also face Rogers City in the regional semifinals in Pellston on Saturday. The other semifinal will see Rapid River take on Indian River Inland Lakes. The Escanaba, Gladstone, and Rapid River girls softball teams, and the Gladstone boys baseball team, will also play in regional tournaments on Saturday.
