Red Wave Crushed In Final Firecracker Game, 14-1
 MARINETTE, Wis.---The Menominee Red Wave American Legion baseball team lost its final game of the Marinette Firecracker Tournament on Sunday, 14-1, to the Green Bay Shockers at Haase Field. The Red Wave finished the tournament with a 2-2 record, good for a tie for fourth place. Green Bay finished as runners-up with a 3-1 record. Levi Kempka took the loss on the mound for Menominee, as he gave up three runs in the first inning, two of them on a home run to left field by Will Conard. Menominee scored a run in the bottom of the first inning to close to within 3-1, but things fell apart in the fourth inning when the Shockers scored six runs. Four more runs scored in the fifth inning and the game ended on the mercy rule after five innings. Menominee returns to the Pederson Ballpark on Tuesday afternoon for the annual Independence Day game against Marinette. Game time is 1:00 CT.
