IRONWOOD---The Gogebic Community College Lady Samsons won the NJCAA Region 13 championship on Sunday, beating United Tribes Tech out of Bismarck, N.D., 86-67, in Ironwood. Lori Wardynski scored 47 points, making 16 of her 27 field goal attempts.
She was also 13-for-17 at the foul line, and was named to the All-Region Team.
GCC Coach Mark Movrich was named the regional Coach of the Year.
NJCAA District F Championship will be the Region 13 winner playing the winner of Region 9 on Saturday, March 10.
All Region 13 Selections for Women's Division II include:
