FIRST TIME CHAMPS: Broncos Win District Title

IRON MOUNTAIN---The Bark River-Harris High School wrestling team won its first-ever MHSAA Division Four district championship Thursday night in Iron Mountain.

The Broncos beat Iron Mountain in the final, 63-10.

In the championship match, the following B-R-H wrestlers all earned pins: Drew Allgeyer,  Tyler Racicot,  Jacob Wandasega,  Austin Kleiman,  Avry Corrigan Daniel Dani and Keaton Bartoszek. Clayton Eichhorn won by decision.

Alex Kern,  Brenden Siedlecki and Josh Riley all won on forfeits.

The Broncos will face Onaway in the team regional semifinals next Wednesday.

Westwood will face Newerry in the other semifinal. Westwood won its district, 54-24 over Ishpeming Thursday night, and Newberry beat St. Ignace, 54-30, to win the eastern U.P. district.
