Back-to-back, two-out, RBI doubles from Tanner Halvorson (SO, Eau Claire, WI) and Kyler Moir (SO, Hillman, MI) got things going. Richard Wayka (FR, Keshena, WI) and Jeff Allen (SO, Watervliet, MI) each had RBI singles, and the Norse took a four-run lead. Nyack answered with two in the second, but Bay would build a lead. In the Norse third Dane VanDenHeuvel (SO, Norway, MI) launched a triple to deep left, and scored on an Allen single. VanDenHeuvel doubled in the fourth to drive in a run, and the Norse managed to push across another run in the fifth. The sixth put the game away. Scotty Adams (FR, Orillia, ON) got the start on the mound and pitched six strong innings. He gave up six hits, three walks, and three earned runs while striking out seven. Sam Schneider (FR, Cheboygan, MI) pitched the final inning. Allen ended his game three for four with five RBI. Ibn Ezra had a two for three day with one RBI.
