The North Central High School basketball team won its 72nd straight game Tuesday night, and improved to 17-0 for this season, by whipping the Munising Mustangs, 83-33, in Munising. The Jets rolled to a 31-8 lead in the first quarter to drop Munising's season record to 15-3. Seniors Jason Whitens and Dawson Bilski both scored 27 points for NCA.

The Gladstone High School wrestling team brought a Division Three district trophy back across the Mackinac Bridge Wednesday night in Boyne City. The Braves beat Charlevoix in the semifinal, 66-6, and then topped Grayling, 45-30, in the championship. Gladstone will host the regional tournament next Wednesday evening. The Gladstone boys also compete in the individual districts this Saturday in Grayling.
