HARRIS----For most of Thursday night's girls basketball game, the Bark River-Harris Broncos and Carney-Nadeau Wolves had a tough time putting points on the board.
The shooting was off...even free throw shooting...and there were lots of turnovers both ways. But the Broncos put together a 21-1 spurt late in the second and early in the third and posted a 58-37 CUP/Skyline victory in the BR-H gym.
The Broncos led, 14-8, in the second quarter, and then it was 22-9 at halftime. BR-H scored the first 13 points of the third quarter to build a 35-9 lead, and then crusied from there.
Sarah Madalinski had 14 points...well below her season average...to lead the Broncos. Kylie VanBrocklin added 13 points and Jordyn Hardy chipped in ten points.
For the Wolves, Janel Dani had 13 points and Morgan Eichhorn added nine.
Bark River-Harris improved to 15-4 on the season. Carney-Nadeau is now 10-8.
