Five To Be Inducted Into GHS Athletic Hall of Fame

GLADSTONE - The Gladstone High School Athletic Hall of Fame has added five new members.

Selectees include All-American skier Shari (Ahola) Byerly, wrestling standout Larry Luft, football all-stars Steve Petr and Andy Wiltzius, four-sport letterman Tom Vanlerberghe and the late Bob Richards, who coached football, track, basketball and baseball from 1965-85. The 2004 Gladstone High School team which won the Division 3 state softball championship in 2004 will also be recognized.

The fourth annual induction banquet is Oct. 18 at Terrace Bay Inn. Tickets will be available soon at the Gladstone High School athletic office and from committee members.
