RAPID RIVER---The high school volleyball season is under way for our Class D teams.
Rapid River and North Central met in a CUP match Thursday night, and the Jets rallied to post a 3-2 victory. Both teams have thin roster lineups this season: the Rockets have ten players on the varsity roster while the Jets have just nine.
The teams went back and forth all night.
The Rockets won the first game, 25-20, but the Jets took the second game, 25-17. Rapid River regained the lead by winning the third game, 25-21, but the Jets came back again, 25-12, in the fourth game.
North Central then won the decisive fifth game, 15-7.
