Braves Hang On For Baseball Victory In Crivitz, 4-3

CRIVITZ, Wis.---Elliot Danhoff pitched a complete game to lead the Gladstone Braves to a 4-3 win over the Crivitz Wolverines in high school baseball Monday night in Crivitz.

Danhoff allowed only one run through five innings before giving up single runs in both the sixth and seventh innings. But, Danhoff and the Braves were able to hold on.

"Elliot was solid," Gladstone Manager Don Lauscher said. "He threw strikes. That's all we ask of him. We hung on to win."

The game was tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth inning, before the Braves scored three times. Lucas Weinert had an RBI single, and then Braeden Lamberg drove in two with a hit.

Gladstone's 4-1 lead was tested as the Wolverines scored in the bottom of the sixth, and then again in the bottom of the seventh. Danhoff was able to work out of trouble, and he threw all seven innings, allowing six hits, walking two, and striking out five.

Gladstone (21-8) travels to Marinette for a doubleheader Tuesday against the Marines. Then, the Braves travel to Marquette on Friday to face the Redmen. That is now a single game, and will start at 5:00. It will be broadcast live on WCHT-AM (600)
