NORWAY---Sam Hall pitched a two-hit shutout to lead the Bark River-Harris Broncos to a 10-0 win over the Stephenson Eagles in the MHSAA Division Four district tournament Wednesday at Marion Park in Norway.
The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but it was rained out. And on Wednesday, the teams sat through two rain delays before getting through five innings of play. Matt Richer's RBI single ended the game on the mercy rule in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Besides pitching a shutout, Hall also had a hit and drove in two runs at the plate. Ryan Arndt had two base hits for the Broncos, who face Norway in the district semifinals on Friday. The other semifinal pits North Central against Ironwood.
