GLADSTONE---The Iron Mountain North Major Boys (age 11-12) Little League team got plenty of offense on Monday and stayed alive in the district tournament with an 11-1 win over Tri-County in Gladstone. The Tri-County boys were eliminated with the loss.
Carson McLean earned the win on the mound, while Hudsen Cady took the loss.
Fulton Stroud had a bases-loaded double to score two runs for Iron Mountain North, although a third runner was thrown out at the plate. Isaiah Johnson drove home Joe Colavecchi and Beau Kalovec with a base hit in the second inning.
Michael Englund had two hits for Tri-County and Paavo Mannisto had a triple.
Iron Mountain North plays Norway in the loser's bracket final Tuesday night in Gladstone. Game time is 6:00 ET.
