L'ANSE---The Calumet High School volleyball team won its sixth straight volleyball regional championship Thursday, beating West Iron County, 3-0, in L'Anse.
The scores were 25-11, 25-8, 25-22. The Copper Kings advance to the Class C state quarterfinals next Tuesday in Munising.
The Class D regional championship matches between Carney-Nadeau and Munising, and Rudyard and Pellston, were postponed until Friday because of lake effect snow.
