PETOSKEY---The Marquette High School boys varsity soccer team defeated Petoskey, 4–3, Friday night in lower Michigan.
Freshman Max Dawson broke a 3-3 tie with a goal off an assist from senior Joe Lagrou with seven minutes left in the game to help the Redmen improve to 3-3 on the season.

Marquette opened the scoring on a header goal from senior Trevor Salmon, with junior Lewis Goff drawing the assist. Then Salmon assisted on a goal by Connor Johnson to give Marquette a 2-0 lead, but the Northmen scored twice to tie the contest.
Salmon, who scored five goals in a recent win over Iron Mountain, scored his second goal of this match to give Marquette a 3-2 lead. Sophomore Zane Phillips assisted on that marquer. The Northman tied it again before Dawson's goal won it late.

Sophomore Harrison Anthos stopped nine of 12 shots in net for Marquette.
