Baraga's Kinnunen Commits To Play For Bay Norse

ESCANABA---Bay College has signed its second player for its new women's basketball program.

She's Justice Kinnunen of Baraga High School. She joins St. Ignace's Jordan Belleville as the first members of the new Norse team.

Kinnunen was a member of the 18-3 Baraga Vikings, was a team co-captain, and was selected as a 2nd team All Country division team.

Off of the court, Kinnunen holds down a 3.6 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.

“Justice's academic ability transfers to the court," Drake said. "She has a high basketball IQ. She is going to be a great addition to the historic first team at Bay College. I believe Justice's basketball potential has not yet been tapped.”

Bay College opens its first season of men's and women's basketball on November 1st, in Escanaba, against the University of Wisconsin-Marinette. You'll be able to hear every game live on WGKL-FM (Kool 105.5) and on-line at www.rrnsports.com.
