Dickinson County Little Leagues Cancel '20 Season
 The Norway, Kingsford, and Iron Mountain Little Leagues announced in Saturday Facebook posts that they will not be having baseball or softball seasons this summer. Little League canceled regional tournaments and the World Series last month, and then Michigan's 16 district administrators announced that there would be no state tournaments. But local leagues are allowed to have regular seasons based on conditions in their communities, and Escanaba and Gladstone have chosen to do so, starting July 6. NORWAY AREA LITTLE LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENT It is with great disappointment that we announce the Norway Area little league 2020 Baseball and Softball season is canceled. Due to the unprecedented circumstances of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. While this was not an easy decision to make, there are still too many unknowns about the virus, and the safety of our kids, parents, and fans was the overwhelming factor. Our league's safety is of utmost importance to us! We would like to thank all of the parents and players for their patience as they waited on our decision. The Norway Area little league board worked very closely with both Kingsford Area Little League and Iron Mountain Area Little League boards to make a determination on canceling the season. Over the next few weeks, the league will be working to refund those who have paid their league fees. We ask for your patience as we navigate through this process. We look forward to coming back next season!! KINGSFORD AREA LITTLE LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENT It is with great disappointment that we announce the Kingsford Area Little League (KALL) Board of Directors has voted to cancel the 2020 Baseball and Softball season for both Kingsford and Florence teams due to the unprecedented circumstances of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. While this was not an easy decision to make, there are still too many unknowns about the virus, and the safety of our kids, parents and fans was the overwhelming factor. Our league's safety is of utmost importance to us! We would like to thank all of the parents and players for their patience as they waited on our decision. The KALL board worked very closely with both the Norway Area Little League and Iron Mountain Area Little League boards to make a determination on canceling the season. Over the next few weeks, the league will be contacting every parent via email that had registered their child/children to discuss the refund options.
