UPDATE: ESCANABA HOLDS OFF GLADSTONE, 62-58

The Escanaba Eskymos built a 15-point lead Friday night and held on to beat the Gladstone Braves, 62-58, to win their third straight game. The Braves roared back from their big deficit behind 23 points from Nick Matthews and 17 points from Kaden Gibbs. But the Eskymos broke a 58-58 tie late by making four free throws, and improved to 5-2 on the season. Shane Wallin had 17 points and three triples, and David Romps added three triples and 13 points.

Bark River-Harris, meanwhile, lost at home to Menominee, 64-34, Friday night.

ESCANABA---
The Escanaba High School boys basketball team led from start-to-finish Thursday night to beat a young Bark River-Harris team, 74-26, at the Escanaba High School Gym. The Eskymos had eleven of their twelve players score in the easy victory.
