The Breitung Township Schools and the Kingsford High School dedicated the fieldhouse at the football facility after Don Edens. He was a longtime Flivver both as a coach, and for many years, as athletic director. Edens passed away several years ago, but has not been forgotten in the Flivver family. Escanaba School Superintendent Michele LeMire announced Tuesday that student-athletes will not have to pay an activity fee this fall after all. The Kingsford Blues American Legion Baseball team turned back the Marquette Blues, 3-1, Friday night, to win the championship of the new Mid Peninsula Conference.
