Gladstone High School sophomore Hunter Garling was picked to the Division Three All-State First Team by the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association. Garling batted .478 with four home runs and 25 RBI during the regular season. Rudyard outfielder Luke Steikar was the only other Upper Peninsula baseball player to get All-State honors. He was picked to the First Team in Division Four.
