Eskymos Drop First Game At Waupun Invitational

WAUPUN, Wis.---The Escanaba High School baseball team lost its first game at the Waupun (Wis.) Invitational Friday.

The Eskymos fell to the Tremper Trojans from Kenosha, 14-3, in five innings.

Andrew Sedlar gets his first start of 2013.
Nick Vandermissen hit a home run in the top of the first inning to put the Eskymos in front, and they were tied 3-3 in the third inning after Cam Beversluis drove home Jeff Lyle.

But the Trojans had two big innings as the Eskymos had some defensive problems, and the Wisconsin team strung together several hits with men in scoring position.

Andrew Sedlar and Lyle shared the pitching duties for the Eskymos (2-1).

Escanaba will play two more games at this tournament on Saturday.
