Robinette Stars As Esky Falls; EHS Girls Get Victory

The Escanaba High School basketball teams both faced the Negaunee Miners Tuesday night, and the result was a split.

In the boys game, Brandon Robinette scored 34 points but it wasn't enough as Negaunee beat Escanaba, 70-67.

Tyler Jandron had 25 points and Eric Lori scored 20 for the Miners.

In the girls game, balance was the key as Escanaba beat Negaunee, 54-39. Ashley Cook had 15 points to lead four Esky girls in double figures. Michelle LaFave had 14 points, Lynsey Collins added 11, and Tara Strahl had ten points for Escanaba.
