ESCANABA---The Escanaba High School volleyball team played an excellent first set in an MHSAA Class B District semifinal Wednesday night against the favored Kingsford Flivvers. Escanaba led that set, 24-17, but lost in heartbreaking fashion, 30-28.
Kingsford won the next two sets (25-17, 25-20) to eliminate the Eskymos, 3-0.
