GLADSTONE---The Escanaba High School girls golf team cruised to the Great Northern Conference championship on Thursday as Paxton Johnson, Megan Dagenais, and Sam Henderson all shot in the 80's. The Eskymos won with 359 strokes.
Johnson shot an 83, three strokes better than her teammate Dagenais (86). And Henderson's 89 gave the Eskymos a sweep of the top three spots. Menominee's Emma Hofer (93) and Zoe Smith (97) were the only other golfers to break 100.
On the team scores, Menominee's 403 was second to the Eskymos, with Gladstone taking third (425), Kingsford fourth (443), and Marquette fifth (458).
