Eskymos Clinch Share Of GNC Baseball Title, 10-5

QUINNESEC---The Escanaba Eskymos clinched a share of the Great Northern Conference title with a 10-5 win over the Kingsford Flivvers Tuesday night.

Ben Johnson threw 6 2/3 innings before running out of pitches on the 105-pitch counts. He scattered six hits, allowed no earned runs, and struck out four. Bon LaChance continued his hot hitting with a single, double, and two more runs batted in. Hunter Lancour also drove in two runs, including one on a squeeze bunt. Henry McRoberts had a hit and two RBI for Kingsford.

The Eskymos (17-7) travel to Norway on Thursday, then head downstate Friday to play in Gaylord and on Saturday for a douebleheader against Cheboygan.
