MOVING ON: Seventeen Upper Peninsula Football Teams Make Playoffs

Seventeen Upper Peninsula high school football teams will playat least one November game after qualifying for the state playoffs.

The Michigan High School Athletic Association on Sunday evening announced the pairings for the 256 11-man teams and the 32 8-man teams that qualified for the postseason.

There were ten Upper Peninsula eleven-man teams and eight U.P. eight-man teams in the playoff fields. There will be all-UP matchps in Divison Eight, as well as in both Eight-man divisions. The exact dates and times for those games will be listed here once they are finalized.
