The Carney-Nadeau High School volleyball team captured its second straight Class D district championship Thursday, beating Stephenson, 3-1, in the title match. The scores were 25-15, 23-25, 25-17, and 25-22. Sara Simula led the Wolves with 21 kills and 23 digs. Breanne Bedgood added 33 digs. The Wolves face Forest Park in next week's regionals.
The Munising High School volleyball team won a volleyball district championship Thursday night, beating Rapid River, 3-0, in Rapid River. The scores were 25-20, 25-16, and 25-20. Kianne Wendt led the Mustangs with 21 kills. Marissa Ackerman had 14 digs, and Emily Contreras led in assists with 26. Westwood also won its district on Thursday.

Craig Kamin threw two touchdown passes, while Scout Wunder and Cody Vandermissen had two touchdown runs each. Wunder also caught a TD pass.
