The Escanaba Binks Coca-Cola PeeWee’s won the championship of the 26th Annual Marquette/Iron Range Holiday Invitational last weekend. Escanaba was able to win the 12-team event by beating Negaunee in the championship game, 3-1. The Bink's PeeWees lost the first game of the tournament on Friday, but rallied.
The off-road races at Bark River and Crandon, Wis., will mean a bit more this summer as the two tracks have announced the formation of the "Sportsmen Off-Road Series". Michigan Tech's women's basketball team earned an Ohio sweep with an 82-65 victory at Walsh on Saturday. The Huskies carved up the Cavaliers zone defense with eleven 3-pointers including, five from Kelli Guy and four more from Morgan Anderson. Tech also beat Malone (65-58) on Friday in Canton, Ohio.
