MHSAA Approves Many Changes; Adds New Sports

  • Ishpeming Takes Division Two Track Regional Titles

    HIGH SCHOOL TRACK REGIONAL: Division two in Ishpeming. BOYS RESULTS: Ishpeming 89, Ironwood 55, Hancock 18. (Ishpeming's Tramon Gauthier won the 110 and 300 hurdles, and he won the long jump. He was second in the 100 meter run). GIRLS RESULTS: West Iron County 55, Ishpeming 54, Ironwood 38. West Iron's Danica Shamion won the 100, 200, 400, and the high jump. Ishpeming's Lola Korpi won the 800, 1600, and 3200, and was part of the winning 3200 relay team.


     

  • Escanaba Wins Golf Meet; Kingsford's Harry Medalist

    Boys High School Golf in Iron Mountain on Monday, the Escanaba Eskymos won with 157 strokes; Marquette was second with 161 and Kingsford third with 166. Kingsford's Lance Harry was the medalist with a 36; Marquette's Parker McCutcheon was second with 37, then four straight Eskymos: Graham Johnson and Shane Wallin with 38's; Bryson Lancour a 40 and Carson Artley with a 41.
