The Bay College Norse softball team finished the Florida trip on Friday by beating the Chesapeake Skip Jacks, 9-1, at Chain Of Lakes Park in Titusville, Fla. VanDenHeuvel, Adams Help Bay Stop Nyack, 17-5
Dane VanDenHeuvel had a double and a triple at the plate, and Scotty Adams pitched six strong innings, as the Bay College Norse snapped a five-game losing streak Wednesday with a 17-5 win over Nyack (N.Y.)   • Michigan Tech Gives Out Nordic Ski Team Awards
    Michigan Tech Nordic ski coach Tom Monahan Smith recognized eight Huskies with annual team awards. Sarah Goble and Reid Goble received the Most Outstanding Skier Award. Monahan Smith and his staff were also named the Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year on the women's side. The Huskies sent a full team to the NCAA Championships for the first time in school history in 2019-20. The women's team also captured the US Cross Country Ski Championships College Cup on its home course in January.
  • California Softball Player Commits To Finlandia U.

    Melanie Torres of Chino Hills, Calif. has committed to play for the Finlandia University softball team. Torres had driven in 11 runs and was hitting .460 this season for East Los Angeles Junior College before the season was cancelled.  She drove in 21 runs and batted .421 and made the All-South Coast Conference North Division second team in 2019 for the Huskies.  Torres hit .472 and won the Silver Slugger Award as a senior at Chino Hills High School.
