Bay College, YMCA Unveil Renovated Gym Facilities

Bay College unveiled its brand new basketball facility on Wednesday. The college spent around $250,000 to renovate the old YMCA Gym to house the brand new Norse teams. Click the above headline for more details, and to see photos of the new facility.
Bay College Signs Four Women's Basketball Players

  • Escanaba Coaches Offering YouthBasketball Camp
    A five-week basketball camp will be held starting this Saturday for kindergarten through 5th grade for boys and girls at the Escanaba Upper Elementary School.  The emphasis of this program will be for the young boys and girls to have fun and learn the fundamentals of basketball. The camp will be held on September 23, 30, and on October 7, 21, 28. Students can register on the first day of the program. The cost is $25, and includes a T-Shirt and five hours of instruction. Call Coach Tracy Hudson at 553-1638 or Scott Mason at 399-9056 with any questions.
  • NMU Golfers Finish 4th; Eliasson Runner-Up

    Northern Michigan University golfer Martin Eliasson led the Wildcats with a second-place finish at the GLIAC Fall Invitational on Sunday. Eliasson finished with a score of 139 (68-71) over the two days, five under par. This was his second weekend with an opening round of 68. Overall, Northern ranked in fourth place with a final score of 586. Wayne State earned the top spot with a score of 569. 

  • NMU Women's Golfer Wins Championship At Ferris

    NMU Women's golfer Karissa Guthrie earned the top spot at this weekend's Bulldog Invitational in Big Rapids, the first women's golf team event of the season. Guthrie won with a 146 (74-72). Northern finished second overall, ending with an overall score of 623 (316-307) over the two days. Senior Avery Rochester of Marquette joined Guthrie in the top 20, tying for 20th with a score of 158 (81-77).
