  • Northern Michigan Golfer Competes At Nationals
    Junior Caro Els became the first player in Northern Michigan University Women's Golf history to compete at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championships this week, and she finished stroke play tied for 36th out of a field of 95 individuals. She started the championships by posting birdies on five holes and finished two over, shooting a round of 75. On the second day, Els notched a round of 83 and followed it with a round three score of 81 to finish stroke play with a total score of 239.
  • Gladstone Wins Boys Track Regional Title
    The Gladstone Braves won the MHSAA Boys Division One regional championship on Thursday with 79 points. Marquette was second with 55. Escanaba took third with 28. Braves sophomore Calvin Thibault won both the 100 and 200 runs, and he won the 110 and 300 hurdles. Senior Adam Bruce won the both the 1600 and 3200 runs. Blake Servant won the discus, and Luke VanBrocklin won the 400 run.
