  • NMU Basketball Overpowers Wayne State, 83-74

    The Northern Michigan University men's basketball team scored 49 points in the second half, including a 19-0 run, to defeat Wayne State University 83-74, on Saturday, in Detroit. The 49 points is the most points scored in any half for the Wildcats this season.  Junior Isaiah Johnson finished with a career-high 30 points to lead NMU. The Wildcats have a make-up game against Davenport University in Grand Rapids on Monday. 

  • Castor Leads Braves To Win Over Negaunee

    Reece Castor scored 22 points to help the Gladstone Braves heat the Negaunee Miners, 60-54, Thursday night in Gladstone. Brad Spindler added 13 points and Rudy Peterson chipped in 12. The Miners got 19 points from Jason Waterman. Jake Ennett added 13 and Jakson Sager scored 12.

  • Rapid River-North central Boys Basketball Game Rescheduled
    The boys basketball game that was postponed this week between the Rapid River Rockets and North Central Jets will be made up on Wednesday, February 7th, in Powers. It will be broadcast live on Eagle 107.3 FM and radioresultsnetwork.com.
  • Bark River-Harris Makes Wrestling Schedule Changes
    Bark River-Harris High School Wrestling has pulled out of a triangular meet in Munising on Wednesday, January 31, due to religious education classes for several wrestlers. However, the Broncos have added a home triangular meet in Thursday, February 1, against Manistique and Iron Mountain. It will also be Parent's Night.
