Bay College Softball Ready To Kick Off Fall Season

FALL BALL BEGINS: Norse Baseball Ready To Go

The new Bay College Norse baseball team held an intrasquad game Monday night as fall practices enter a third week in Escanaba. Australian Mark Zhang hit a home run in the game, in which several players pitched.   • NMU Football Team Opens Apparel Store

    Northern Michigan University Football is opening an online Apparel Store. The store is open from Monday, September 17 through October 1.  All items must be purchased by October 1. To get apparel, visit https://www.bsnteamsports.com and use the access code: for NMU Football apparel. Proceeds raised from the stores will go toward NMU Football.

  • Manistique-Westwood Football Game Cancelled
    The Manistique High School varsity football team will have to forfeit this Friday’s game against Westwood due to a lack of healthy players. It is the third time in five weeks that the Emeralds have had to forfeit. We will broadcast the JV game Thursday night at 6:00 on AM-1490 WTIQ.
  • NMU Women's Soccer Battles To 2-2 Draw
    The Northern Michigan University Women's Soccer team battled to a 2-2 draw Sunday afternoon at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in a non-conference matchup in Kenosha, Wis. Freshman Taelor Moore scored in the 27th minute, and fellow freshman Caroline Halonen scored in the 84th minute. NMU has home matches next Friday and Sunday as part of Homecoming Weekend.
  • Michigan Tech Football Loses Heartbreaker, 23-21
    The Michigan Tech football team fell to Davenport,23-21, Saturday afternoon at Sherman Field. The Panthers scored 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter after the Huskies had built a 21-10 advantage. "We didn't start the way we wanted to today," Michigan Tech Head Coach Steve Olson said. "It was a 7-3 game in our favor at halftime, but we made too many mistakes. We had a chance to put the game away and had a decent lead in the fourth quarter, but we didn't get it done. We have to be better. We need to finish games off and play for four quarters."
