HOME OPENERS: Bay Ladies Blast Samsons Twice

The Bay College Norse softball team finally played on their home field Sunday after playing 26 games on the road and having other home games cancelled. Dakota County Continues Domination Of Bay Norse

The Bay College Norse baseball team lost two more games to Dakota County Technical College (Minn.) on Saturday, 10-0 and 7-3, at the Wells Township Field. The Norse lost all four games to the Blue Knights this weekend and still have never beaten DCTC, after going 0-8 against them in the 2019 season. Click the above headline for details.

  • Escanaba Baseball Team Holds Off Iron Mountain
    The Escanaba Eskymos baseball team built a 5-0 lead and held off Iron Mountain 7-5 Saturday at Liuna Field. Hunter Lancour struck out ten batters over five innings of pitching. Trent Lawson held on for the save. EHS is now 3-0 on the season.
  • Gladstone Braves Get Walk-Off Softball Victory
    Montgomery Pepin had the walk-off RBI double to center field in the seventh inning as the Gladstone Braves softball team beat Reese on Saturday 5-4. Pepin had three hits. Alaina Trudeau had a two-run double and Samara Sanville had three hits. The Braves lost their other two games to Unionville-Sebewaing 15-0, and Beaverton, 12-2.
  • Escanaba Softball Team Opens 2-2 Downstate
    The Escanaba High School softball team won two of three games downstate on Saturday. They lost to St. Joseph, 10-7, but came back to beat Jackson Northwest, 7-1, and then rallied to beat the host Three Rivers team, 11-9. The Eskymos had lost to Jackson Northwest 6-4 on Friday, so it ends up being a solid 2-2 road trip for Coach Andy Fields and the Mos.
