Gladstone Tennis Team Drops Home Opener, 5-3
GLADSTONE---The Gladstone Braves opened their boys tennis season on Wednesday with a 5-3 loss to the Westwood Patriots at Pfotenhauer Park. The Braves won three of the four singles flights, but got swept in all four of the doubles matches. The team score was settled in Westwood's favor when the #1 doubles match became a marathon, featuring numerous long rallies. The Patriots' Derek Wing and Michael Ostlund outlasted Gladstone's Tyler Wells and Jeremy Kadish, 4-6, 8-6, 11-9. The Braves are back in action on Thursday with a home match against Kingsford.
